Yes — you can answer other customers while you talk on a call. During a call, any other chat or page opens in a new tab, so the call does not drop. The answer clock keeps running during a call, though — answer new messages within the set time (for example 2 minutes) or they move to another seller.
What happens during a call
- The call stays in its own tab. The call box says you can answer other chats now. Tap another chat in the inbox list and it opens in a new tab; write your answer there, then go back to the call tab and keep talking.
- The clock keeps running. Even on a call, new customers must be answered in time. When a new message comes during a long call, open it in a new tab and send at least the first answer — once you have answered, the customer stays yours.
- Do not close or reload the call tab — that ends the call. The browser asks first.
Step by step
- Take the call (or call the customer). The dark call box appears at the bottom.
- When a new message comes, open that chat from the inbox list or the notification — it opens in a new tab.
- Write and send your answer. Press Done if needed — that also happens in a new tab and the call keeps going.
- Go back to the call tab and press Hang up when you finish.
Good to know
- New chats keep coming to you by your share during a call. For a very long call, take a Break so new customers go to the others and nobody waits.
- On a phone, other chats open in a new Chrome tab during a call and the call's sound keeps playing.
